This dual degree is for aspiring business leaders and media professionals. In the business management component, students develop the knowledge and skills to assist in effective management in a constantly changing business environment. The journalism component explores reporting, investigation, editing, and communication and media contexts of journalism. Students learn to be independent and reflective practitioners who are creative problem-solvers. Students have opportunities to complement their journalism training through various domestic and international field trips and internship opportunities. Combining business and journalism skills prepares students for careers in writing, digital media, publishing and communications and public relations.
