Combining studies in business and design, you will learn to approach challenges from a user-centered perspective, crafting solutions that are both functional and appealing. Develop your business acumen and understand market demands to create products or services that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also commercially viable. You’ll gain an understanding of the changing role of design and have the opportunity to experience industry-related and research projects while specialising in selected studio areas. You’ll develop manual, technological, and design thinking skills in the first year, progressing to industry-related projects. You’ll graduate with expertise in design, software applications, and the ability to manage creative ventures from a business perspective. Graduates have a broad range of skills in creative design that they can effectively combine to manage creative ventures from a business perspective. Through your extensive practical experience opportunities, you’ll graduate with strong business networks and the authentic knowledge to apply your skills to a broad range of business environments. Griffith University
Griffith University will commence making offers on 21 November 2025, and continue to make offers to applicants via both portfolio and ATAR/Rank in subsequent offer rounds. However, applicants are encouraged to submit a portfolio and attend an interview even if confident they will meet the ATAR/Rank Guarantee. Students studying at Brisbane City (South Bank) are required to attend business courses at Brisbane South (Nathan).

Portfolio admission
Trimester 1 – applications and portfolios must be submitted by 9 September 2025.
Trimester 2 – applications and portfolios must be submitted by 30 April 2026.
Applicants will still be able to apply after these dates and be considered for ATAR/Rank admission.
Application is via ATAR/Rank. An optional portfolio admission pathway is also available for students who wish to instead demonstrate creative capability.
Admission via portfolio requires applicants to submit a portfolio and attend an interview.
Portfolio applicants will be invited to attend an interview at Queensland College of Art and Design, Brisbane City (South Bank) or the Gold Coast campus or via Teams.
