51/2 years Full time | This course may also be undertaken over 11 years part-time.
This dual degree allows students to combine studies in engineering with a wide range of majors in the arts. In the engineering component, students develop their understanding by applying science and engineering principles to engineering problems of commercial importance. In addition to technical expertise, this dual degree emphasises essential workplace skills such as communication, teamwork, project management, problem-solving and lifelong learning. The Bachelor of Arts component provides skills in written communication, problem-solving, critical thinking and interpersonal understanding that expand students employment opportunities. For example, students may choose to pursue language studies in order to work internationally in their field. For more information, visit Bachelors of Engineering (Hons)/Arts at UQ.
