This double degree equips graduates for diverse employment opportunities across sport and health-related areas with the opportunity to pursue a career as a psychologist with further study and training. Field experience enables students to apply theory and knowledge in practical settings to develop a professional approach to training and preparation for their careers. Students complete a 140-hour exercise science professional placement in the third year of the course. Students access facilities that include fully-equipped exercise physiology, biomechanics and biochemistry laboratories, a multi-purpose sports hall and a weight training gymnasium. Graduates can pursue postgraduate or graduate-entry studies to become a psychologist or an allied health professional in areas such as clinical exercise physiology, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, nutrition/dietetics or to become a personal development, health and physical education teacher.
