The Bachelor of Information Technology is focused around the three pillars of data, code and people. You’ll benefit from a program that allows you to undertake a core set of courses, as well as the opportunity to specialise in any of these interconnected areas. Working across these three areas, you will graduate at the end of your degree as a creative technologist, able to apply technological expertise to complex human problems. Unique to this program is our project-based studio stream where you will apply your cumulative knowledge to the design and development of novel technologies. Studio is a place where students drive their own learning. Here you are expected to be an active learner who takes a hands-on approach to working in teams to develop your ideas. Through the studio projects, you will develop good teamwork strategies, something that all top companies (such as Google, Amazon and Microsoft) look for as a standard ability. The Bachelor of Information Technology will not only equip you with the design and technical skills you need, but also the teamwork and communication skills that are essential in today’s job market.
