Study this course to gain the skills, knowledge, and experience to assess, diagnose, manage, and treat a wide range of health conditions and movement disorders. Accredited by the Australian Physiotherapy Council (APC), graduates will be eligible for registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia. The Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) involves extensive professional practice experiences where students will gain practical and relevant experience and opportunities to apply their discipline knowledge and skills to real clients. Education and training will focus on ways to prevent injuries and promote health and well being – skills that are highly valued within the industry. CQUniversity
This course has strict enrolment requirements. Successful applicants must accept the offer and enrol in units with CQU by the date stated on the offer letter. If you fail to do so, or if you withdraw from your units within this course, your offer will be revoked. This requirement applies irrespective of whether you accepted conditionally or unconditionally in your QTAC application.
This course involves extensive practical experience, both through university-based units and clinical education placements that are embedded into the course. In the third and fourth years students are expected to undertake five clinical education placements, each of five weeks duration.
