Students undertaking the Bachelor of Public Health will be prepared to become leaders in improving the health of communities and the wider population, with opportunities for diverse careers both in Australia and internationally. Students may choose to major in Health Promotion or Environmental Health, or pursue a broad program of study encompassing a wide range of public health topics. Throughout the course, students benefit from the support of experienced public health lecturers and gain access to authentic, work-integrated learning experiences. These include the opportunity to complete two placement units aligned with their chosen area of study. Public health encompasses a range of disciplines united by a shared goal—to prevent disease, promote health, and enhance wellbeing across entire populations, rather than focusing solely on individuals.
