Students can combine their interest in science with the necessary skills, knowledge and practical experiences required for teacher registration. Students receive a thorough preparation to teach in their nominated teaching areas through professional studies in education. In choosing their science specialisations, students can select from one of the broadest ranges of scientific disciplines in Australia. They develop their interdisciplinary scientific knowledge and put teaching skills into practice with placements available from the first year. Secondary teaching is a rewarding career with mathematics and science teachers increasingly in demand worldwide and throughout Australia.
