This program offers a practical, skill and knowledge-based degree for a career in one of Australia’s high demanding and most rapidly changing industries. Students learn about surveying or geographical information systems and gain hands-on experience with modern technology and tools including robotic total stations, drones satellite imagery and laser measurement systems. Along with developing analytical and leadership skills, this program allows students to acquire the practical knowledge to work on a range of surveying projects including land development, mining, or becoming a professional geographic information systems manager or spatial information analyst. University of Southern Queensland
External students must attend at least one, week-long, residential school in Toowoomba during most years of the program.
Attendance at field excursions and practice courses in the form of residential schools is compulsory.
