The Diploma in Esports provides you with foundational knowledge and skills related to esports and how esports as an industry interrelates with the broad fields of Information Technology, Creative Industries and Business. This Diploma will cover concepts in relation to esports as an emerging billion-dollar industry worldwide and how you can be involved in the coming esports revolution. Covering both practical and theoretical realms, physical and mental health, pro-athlete attitudes and values, business strategies and a range of digital technologies, this qualification will prepare you for a variety of esports career pathways. As a blended education model, you gain skills online and on-campus in a highly supportive environment. You will have access to a suite of services designed to help achieve your study goals and advance your career. Upon successful completion of the Diploma, you will be able to articulate into the Bachelor of Games and Interactive Environments with up to 96 credit points of advanced standing. The Bachelor of Games and Interactive Environments allows the development of creative skills ranging from the technical to the artistic. You gain experience in the entire process of game and interactive media development, from identification and evaluation of ideas, creation of design concepts, critique of existing and potential products, analysis of cultural impact and industry trends, through to the development and delivery of a final product.

Upon completion of the diploma component, you will be automatically offered a place in the single degrees of Bachelor of Business, Bachelor of Communication, Bachelor of Creative Industries, Bachelor of Games and Interactive Environments, and the Bachelor of Information Technology. Your completed diploma will provide up to 96 credit points (1 year) advanced standing to each degree. IMPORTANT NOTE: The Bachelor of Games and Interactive Environments is only offered in February each year. Students completing the diploma in June will receive an offer for the bachelor degree commencing in February of the following year.
