How many courses can I choose?
You can apply for up to six course preferences and ordering them correctly is crucial to the outcome of your application. Using all six preferences maximises your options and gives you the best chance of getting an offer.
How many times can I change my course preferences?
You can change your course preferences on three separate occasions for free. If you require to change your preferences any additional times, an extra fee of $75 is required each time.

How many times can I apply?
You can only submit one QTAC application in each admissions period. If you change your mind about what you want to study, you can simply change your course preferences.
When do I need to apply for 2027 admissions?
The due date to apply and submit supporting documentation in time for when most offers are released in December is 7 December 2026.
When will applications open for Semester 1, 2027?
QTAC Application will open 4 August 2026.
I completed High School in Queensland, what ‘Type of Studies’ do I enter on my application form?
If you are a current Year 12 student completing standard Secondary Education, select Queensland Certificate of Education. If you previously graduated Secondary Education in Queensland, select Queensland Senior from 1973 onwards.
My LUI number is not working, what do I do?
Only students that have completed high school in 2026 will need to use their LUI. If you graduate in 2026 and are unsure what your LUI is, please call us on 1300 467 822.
